“I started doing graphic prints on textile, paper and other surfaces already during my studies of fine arts around the year 1997. I was most intrigued by the technique of screen printing (textile) / serigraphy (paper), relief printing, and wood engraving, as these techniques offer a lot of possible variations and when you are in favour of contrast and colors, that’s the right way to go…”
Currently I mostly do relief prints (using linocuts & woodcuts) but I’ll be returning to both sheetprinting and other graphic techniques … Recently I’ve bought from the Hetlands the graphic press that the very master of comic illustration, Audun Hetland, had used. Thus the press remains in Bryggen, having only switched the atelier and the artist.
