“Overlooked, invisible, of no value and with no name …”
I’ve always been interested in the individual / people and their stories. Themes that have also strongly characterised myself, and are “my life.” Maybe not the one that you see, but it’s certainly the one that I myself live, and my story, too, is one of those that should have been different … But, like many, I had a dream. A dream that I’m living out today, and for which I’ve struggled. Some paths are easier, others take more time, or are painful, or are vertical … while some are impossible. Each of them is an individual with his or her own story, thus being special as you and me are, and it’s important that we see and treat them as such.
… I haven’t decided to start painting crowds but have simply felt it in me. Generally, the subject is indeed a crowd, but if you take a closer look, these are individuals with their particular expression and story, behind which their dream hides, which is more powerful than the fences and non-acceptance. They had set out …
We don’t need a lot. “Love is the answer.”
